I am beyond excited to introduce you to RotoWorldMag.com, the recently launched new RotoWorld® website and digital interface to RotoWorld® magazine. RotoWorld®’s new web presence is new in every way, from design to content, and it is exciting in what it can do for you.
Different from most industry sites, RotoWorldMag.com reads like a magazine and has been designed to Showcase the Rotational Molding industry and provide a Rotational Molding Online RotoTrade® Show that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! We believe viewers will find this new website comprehensive and compelling regarding what the rotational molding industry is, what it offers and where and how it can grow. From a basic understanding of the process to the latest breaking innovations and news, viewers both within the industry and outside of the industry will see and want to invest in the story of rotational molding through RotoWorldMag.com. The site has been designed to assist Rotomolders, Suppliers, Designers, Educators and OEMs in growing new markets for rotationally molded products. Our mission is to facilitate the fastest growing segment of our readership, which is the end user market.
Because Rotational Molding is a smaller market within the plastics manufacturing industry as a whole, we believe it is now more important than ever before to engage in the “Story Building” of the Rotational Molding brand. As an independent entity in the rotational molding industry that partners with industry trade associations, rotomolders, suppliers, designers, educators and end users, we feel we are the perfect entity to tell that story and be instrumental in growing the brand.
Media research indicates that 73% of all consumers initially find out about a brand through Paid Media (Print, TV Advertising, Web, etc.) This is followed by approximately 23% who initially find out through Owned Media (Copy, Editorial, Press Releases, etc.) and the remainder first find out through Earned Media (Social Media) when their customers invest by engage in discussions offering support, loyalty, advocacy, etc.
There are three proven approaches to marketing and gaining the best from multi-channel media and a competitive advantage, boost your ROI and result in wins in your markets. These work in this order: (1) Image Building; (2) Message Building; and (3) Discussion Building.
Regarding image, I once heard someone say, “People can only go in their minds where they’ve been before.” This speaks volumes about how important image building is in terms of being able to sell your brand, which essentially is your products and your services. People read and remember what interests them; so how you build your message is critical. Remember that right brain consumers always win over logic (left brain). Right brain thinkers are always compelled first by image, the overall big picture. They think they know you once they are comfortable with your image. With that said, in a recessed economy, you must increase your message to the left-brain thinkers to get people to respond. I’ve learned that it takes “hunters” and “skinners” to accomplish success. Hunters are right-brained thinkers, or big picture thinkers, and skinners, left brain thinkers, are the ones that get into the details and make it all come together. It takes both.
Once these components are solidly in place, it is time to steer the best possible discussions with existing and potential customers. This can best be done with a solid retention plan in place. Phase I is just the beginning of this new and exciting journey with RotoWorldMag.com. The story building begins with a website that is very visual and easy to navigate. It features a Product Showcase displaying varied types of products being produced by rotational molding throughout the world. There are a series of ‘Call to Action’ elements including Industry Events (a place to keep up with the important events coming up, link to and get signed up); Design & Vision (a place to gain a comprehensive picture of the product design process); and instrumental to the site, Online RotoTrade® Show. Viewers can visit a sample issue of the printed Rotation® magazine, read features much like those featured in the printed magazine, which will reach out to viewers both within and outside of the industry and play a part in telling them the story of rotational molding. The site features RotoWorld® Global Contributing Editors connecting them to the world to further assist them in finding and reporting on items of interest to the industry.
Giving back and social responsibility is very important to us and through RotoWorldMag.com as well as RotoWorld® magazine, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with the “Hippo Roller” project in South Africa to help bring education and awareness to their worthy efforts of supplying clean water to rural Africans and others around the world. There is a lot more exciting news coming on this element of our plan, so stay tuned!
A big feature of RotoWorld® and RotoWorldMag.com is our partnership and close connection to the various important Associations around the world that work diligently to provide a place where industry people can come together to learn best practices, new ideas and technology to better their businesses and subsequently better the industry. Along with the new site will come a monthly e-newsletter highlighting latest news, products, technology, rotomolders, designers and suppliers and end users.
